IN MEMORY OF: ROXANNE WISHBONE

Roxanne, aka Roxie, is our first boxer. We purchased her from a kennel in Crestline. When she was about 9 months old, we entered her in the RCKC puppy show and she won 2nd place. Since we don’t crop the ears, the judge told us she would never place best in show. Then, when she was 1 1/2 years old we bred her with Michael Bodye Moon. He was owned by a Crawford County Sheriffs Deputy. She had 7 puppies, 3 females and 4 males, that were born on May 12, 1997. In January of 2004, Roxie was diagnosed with cancer. She was bleeding out into her chest cavity. Even though she was sick, she still stayed her active and playful self. On March 14, 2004, she suffered a heart attack from her heart being smothered by the blood in her chest and all the tumors on her heart. The necropsy showed she had hemangiosarcoma in her lungs, diaphragm and perinial. Our house seems very lonely and empty. She is the first dog i have ever had die and i never realized it would hurt so much.
